Take it up a notch. Not for ego, but for the wisdom that practices affords us when we relax and allow ourselves to fall in step. Designed for teachers and students who have a vested interest in clear seeing and amplifying practice. The work will be mostly physical in nature, but is meant to address imbalances and misperceptions in our whole organism and ultimately all with which we come in contact. In order to garner the most benefit, it is highly recommended to attend all three sessions, as each will build upon the previous.
Like precious minerals buried in the earth, the value of yoga can be found in higher concentrations within the depths of practice, often hidden below the superficial manifestations of posture and form. As we become more invested in the art and science of yoga, our ability to extract this deeper, more personal information amplifies. Practice, then, becomes a vessel of possibility to see ourselves clearly, not as our own or another’s projected image, but as we really are.
Magic does not necessarily require extraordinary circumstances or teachings, but rather the capacity to participate fully in the ordinary and mundane. The simplest experiences and challenges we encounter in practice and everyday life are potent with possibility. Whether attempting to spin a forearm, spin the fibers of breath, or tame the spinning fluctuations of mind, when we are able to do so without grasping or rejecting, magic is inherent.
Polarity is reality. Right/left, inhale/exhale, birth/death, trust/fear are but a few examples out of infinite possibility. When held in balance, polarity gives us necessary tension in which to channel energy and bear witness. When opposites are left unchecked, we may find ourselves off-kilter, injured, and/or misguided.
