Elemental. It means we start from first principles.

In my two decades of experience, it seems that there are five elements (like in Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda) that really form the core of what makes a yoga practice, regardless of lineage.

Those are:

AWARENESS : CURIOSITY : PATIENCE : ACTION : DISCERNMENT

In this work, we always begin and come back to these five elements. Our practice then becomes intensely personal, not a one-size fits all. This is because only we can see into our experience with these elements, and only we can take away the meaning that our inquiry shows us.

We meet ourselves honestly and repeatedly in this way. And we evolve on our own time, as only we can.
